What’s Barkley looking at today?
Sometimes keeping things fresh means taking the time to look around.
Maybe it’s a timely bit of industry buzz. Maybe it’s an inspiring piece of work. Or maybe it’s just something that makes us laugh out loud. Whatever it is—if it’s worth looking at, then it’s probably worth sharing.

The Competitive Spirit
Posted by: David Hill
Maybe it's just me, but it seems that we are inundated more and more by the 'must win' competitive spirit. I hate 99% of reality television shows for this reason alone: they focus almost exclusively on winning. Depending on the show, this can range from a simple competition (think Dancing with the Stars) to 'win at all costs backstabbing' (think Survivor, Big Brother, etc).
Admittedly, I've also never been fond of organized team sports for much the same reason (though I'll also admit that I was never very good at them).
So it was very refreshing to read story about some players that had the clarity to realize there is more to life than just winning the current game.
